Updated: December 30, 2025

1. The Incident (False Termination)

Our managed channel, "Squid Vibes," was wrongfully terminated by YouTube following three false Copyright Strikes issued by a fraudulent entity operating under multiple aliases ("Mahjong Family" / "Game.Genius674"). The Attack: The Claimant impersonated the original family puzzle tiles game manufacturer and issued strikes against our licensed content. The Complication: The Claimant was operating a large-scale spam operation, using the game content with sexually suggestive and misleading titles to farm views, violating YouTube's Community Guidelines.

2. The Strategy (Escalation to Rights Holder)

Instead of relying solely on the standard Counter-Notification process (which can take 10-14 business days and carries legal risks), our agency executed a Direct Rights Escalation Strategy: Identification: We successfully identified and contacted the Original Rights Holder (a Hong Kong-based mahjong tiles manufacturer). Evidence Compilation: We provided the Rights Holder with a dossier of 50+ URLs where the Fraudulent Claimant was damaging their brand reputation using "sexualized metadata" on family-friendly games. Joint Legal Action: The Rights Holder's legal team filed a Mass Violation Report directly to YouTube's Trust & Safety team, citing both Copyright Infringement and Spam/Deceptive Practices.

3. The Breakthrough (December 29, 2025)

YouTube Legal accepted the Rights Holder's report and took immediate action against the imposter. Action Taken: YouTube removed the fraudulent claimant's content under Case ID: [NUM3...IV46M]. Legal Ruling: YouTube internally verified that the claimant was not the owner, establishing a legal precedent for our case.

4. Resolution (December 30, 2025)

Using the Case ID provided by the Rights Holder, we filed a prioritized appeal to YouTube Legal, proving that the strikes against "Squid Vibes" were the result of misidentification. Outcome: All fraudulent strikes were removed. Channel Status: "Squid Vibes" has been fully reinstated and is active. AdSense Status: Our AdSense network remained active and in good standing throughout the process, proving the financial legitimacy of our operations despite the content attack.

5. Pending Actions (The 'Linked Account' Fix)

While the main channel is restored, several secondary channels remain legally terminated due to YouTube's automated "Linked Account" system. Current Step: We are currently filing individual appeals for each linked channel, citing "Root Cause Resolution." Since the primary ban (Squid Vibes) has been overturned, the associated bans are now invalid. We expect full network restoration within 48 hours. Agency Note: This case highlights the importance of maintaining direct relationships with Original Rights Holders. By bypassing the automated system and proving "Brand Damage" to the owner, we achieved a resolution faster than standard support channels allow.
